Having clear goals helps me turn noise into direction — and I’d rather find a different path than follow the obvious one.

I try to spend time on what matters, and to leave people a little better than I found them.

My favorite moments are simple: a long conversation on the tennis court bench with a friend, or my wife and I face to face over a glass of Jerez.

I’m increasingly convinced life isn’t much more than people you love, moments worth being present for, and having something to chase.

I look for meaning in both science and faith. They keep me humble and curious.
